The new BMW Series 3 may debut in 2025, which will be fully electrified

Recently, BMW announced the latest product plan - the new generation of BMW Series 3 which will completely become a battery electric vehicle (BEV) may be launched globally in 2025. Meanwhile, it is expected to cease the production of the current BMW 3 Series sedan and station wagon in 2027.

Dates of cessation of production are: the BMW Series 3 sedan will be discontinued in July 2027, and the Touring version will be discontinued in October of the same year. And the BMW M3 will be discontinued earlier and will exit the assembly line in June, and the M3 Touring version will be discontinued in October.

The internal codes of the new i3 sedan and station wagon will be "NA0" and "NA1" respectively. In addition to possible production in Hungary in Europe and Mexico in South America, there is a high probability that production in China will be introduced.

However, BMW will not convert all of its gasoline vehicles to battery electric vehicle (BEV) immediately, and the transition may last for several years. It is reported that although the new BMW Series 3 may be completely transformed into a pure electric vehicle, the new BMW X3 will not be so completely transformed, and it is expected to provide pure electric and internal combustion engine power at the same time after 2030.
