Recently, a hypothetical picture of Toyota bZ5 BEV (battery electric vehicle) was published. The car is likely to be the production version of Toyota bZ SDN concept car. Expected to be similar to Toyota bZ4X, this BEV (battery electric vehicle) will be unveiled in 2023 or 2024.
Toyota registered the trade name "bZ5" back in October 2020. From the perspective of Toyota bZ SDN concept car, the appearance of the new car is likely to adopt a similar crossover design approach, transplant the sharp headlamp shape from the concept car, and connect the headlights on both sides through the penetrating LED daytime running lamp.
In fact, Toyota and BYD have already formed a joint venture to develop BEV (battery electric vehicle). In March of 2022, Chinese media exposed a group of domestic spy photos that appeared to show the production version of Toyota's bZ SDN concept car. From the photos, it can be seen that the details of the camouflage car design is highly consistent with the Toyota bZ SDN concept car, the body size being 4725*1835*1475mm and the wheelbase 2880mm. It is likely that BYD will be the contract manufacturer of Toyota's all-electric sedan in the future.
In terms of size, Toyota's bZ5 BEV (battery electric vehicle) is definitely aimed at the current hot Tesla Model 3 which really needs a comparable competitor, so its emergence will bring more choices for consumers.
