This is a Dutch project and the customer purchased a batch of three-phase mode A 11kW EV charging points since they can be matched with different EV charging cables to meet the needs of charging both Type1 and Type2 electric vehicles.
Recently, the customer found that a yellow smiley face with an exclamation mark appeared on the EV charging point’s screen and the car couldn’t be charged normally. The model of his car was Audi e-tron 55 quatro. He wanted to know what the symbol stood for and why this was the case. The customer thought that the problem wasn’t the car, maybe the EV charging point was faulty.
After receiving the customer's feedback, our Customer Service department immediately reported it to the Technical department who replied promptly. It turns out that the yellow smiley face with the exclamation mark means poor grounding. If this sign appears on the charger screen, it indicates that the circuit in the customer's home is not grounded or is poorly grounded. After receiving our reply, the customer checked the household circuit and found that the grounding in the household circuit was abnormal.
